The features float above the subscriptions and home tabs at the bottom of the screen.

The button looks black and white in color. The play something button is applied to every type of content on YouTube. However, when it is played, the content shows in the shorts player regardless of the content format.

So far, it seems the feature is like YouTube shorts, where we do not know what we will watch next. Every time you click on the button you will have something new to watch. But can we scroll down like we can on YouTube shorts? Or can we press next like we do while watching long videos? We are unsure!

However, we know that the Play Something button allows users to like, dislike, comment, share, and even use the timeline scrubber while playing a video. These updates are part of the latest YouTube version, 19.50, for Android.

You would want to have the experience of this new testing phase. Usually, the testing happens in a few countries, such as the USA. You must check out your cells to see if you are one of the users in the testing phase.

Conclusion

You need to wait for your friend’s suggestion to watch something new. The YouTube Play Something button is quite unique in itself. But there’s a hitch: We do not know if the feature will be rolled out entirely and if such types of videos will get views on YouTube. People can use it now, and it is still in the testing phase. The decision may depend on the reaction of the users who can access the button for now. If it gets rolled out, we all have a fresh approach to watching YouTube content.

[15
1227
post-29283","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-latest-youtube-updates","tag-youtube-play-something-button

YouTube Tests Play Something Button for Easy Viewing

<meta name="description" content="See if you have the access of 'Play Something' button on YouTube.
