The feature was in the testing phase in mid-2023 and was finally available for everyone.

YouTube apparently converts some words or phrases into hyperlinked comments under the video section that relate to the video. This approach allows users to access more information as quickly as possible without juggling between tabs.

The clicks direct the users to the Google search result page and show the information most related to the video content or the word used in the comment section.

However, the feature seems to receive certain criticism from viewers and creators. Commenters have no control over which of their words gets YouTube hyperlinked under the comment section, and creators do not even have access to edit the hyperlink. Apparently, creators can access the comment section and make changes, but no such setting is visible at the moment.

The critics are due to YouTube’s vague hyperlinks to words and phrases. Many words and phrases get hyperlinks, but the selection process for which words are linked is sheer random and inconsistent.

A certain spammy hyperlink is imminent, as it already appears to have started in fewer posts. Many can misuse these features to increase their website’s traffic, as comments are one of the most engaging tools on YouTube.

But you know what else is as engaging as comment sections? Your video’s title and description. A compelling video title helps you maximize your video’s clicks, and an engaging description makes your viewer linger around for a longer time. You can use tools like an AI title generator for YouTube and an AI YouTube description generator to create killer titles and descriptions.

Conclusion

The YouTube hyperlinked comment feature is currently available on the YouTube mobile app, but it seems to be problematic for several reasons. Though YouTube introduced this, considering it useful for users and creators, they are the ones who are showing criticism. Whether this feature will be expanded is still unpredictable, but it appears to be a great tool for bots to comment under the video section, hoping to get traffic.

Well, it was bots. Now, if you are looking for ways to increase traffic on your videos, our top advice is to connect with promotion services and promote video on YouTube.

Credible services like VeeFly use legitimate ways to advertise videos on YouTube and help you <a
