| VeeFly promotion

| Supports paid distribution and audience reach

| Does not replace YPP requirements

“Subscribers and watch time earned through Promote don’t contribute towards YouTube Partner Program eligibility.” — YouTube Help

According to YouTube, Promote can increase visibility, views, and subscribers, but subscribers and watch hours earned from ad campaigns won’t count toward YPP eligibility thresholds.

How Does Pay on YouTube AdSense Work?

YouTube AdSense is a payment system accessible only to creators who are eligible for the YouTube Partner Program and have an approved AdSense for YouTube account. After enabling at least one eligible monetisation feature, creators can then start receiving a share of ad revenue generated through eligible activity on their videos.

YouTube states that creators in YPP can earn through advertising and other monetisation features. There is no guaranteed amount of earnings under the YouTube Partner Agreement.

Does Promoting YouTube Videos Increase AdSense Earnings?

Promoting a YouTube video will not directly increase AdSense revenue. Advertising campaigns can bring more viewers to your content, but YouTube treats advertising traffic as separate from organic discovery, and this traffic is ineligible for monetisation. Your YouTube AdSense payment is based on your eligible monetised activity, so you don’t receive any payments until you’re eligible. Promotion can help with visibility and audience discovery, but creators shouldn’t treat paid views as a direct source of AdSense revenue or a path to YPP eligibility.

Does Promotion of a YouTube Video Affect Its Organic Performance?

Promotions do not influence the organic performance of a video or the usual recommendation and search mechanisms, according to YouTube. Paid and organic promotion are different, and creators should evaluate campaign results separately from organic growth on their channel. This means that promotion is great for reach and getting in front of an audience, but creators shouldn’t assume that paying for views will magically improve organic recs.

Views and subscribers obtained through Promote are legitimate, according to YouTube, though it notes that only organic subscribers count toward YPP eligibility.

What Happens If Promoted Traffic Is Invalid?

Creators should promote legitimate content and avoid traffic sources that artificially inflate views, impressions, or clicks. Invalid traffic may impact AdSense eligibility and might result in account suspension or disablement. Google specifically warns against artificial traffic, automated activity and attempts to inflate advertising interactions.

Final Thoughts

So, anyone thinking, can I earn AdSense from promoted videos? The answer is yes, you can have promotion and AdSense on the same channel, but they are two different things. Sponsored promotion can bring content to new audiences, while YouTube AdSense revenue depends on monetizable activity and YPP policies.

For creators on VeeFly, the practical approach is to view promotion as a distribution tool rather than an accelerated path to monetisation. Track paid campaign results separately and keep on creating content that attracts organic viewers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Do I need to be part of the YouTube Partner Program to earn money through AdSense?

Yes, to earn money on YT through AdSense, you must be a part of the YouTube Partner Program.

Q2. Can promoting videos increase AdSense earnings?

Promoting videos will only help you to get more views and engagement which in return will help you to get closer to your goals of making money on YouTube.

Q3. Can I still earn AdSense revenue if my promoted video receives limited views?

The revenue that you receive has nothing to do with the views that you receive on the videos. AdSense revenue increases only when more people click the ads shown on your videos.

Q4. How does AdSense handle invalid clicks or engagement on promoted videos?

If there is invalid traffic, Google will suspend or disable the account to protect the advertisers and its users. Also, if it can’t verify the quality of the traffic, it will limit or disable ad serving.

Promoting YouTube videos can increase reach, but it does
